I’m a composer and performer based in Castlemaine, Victoria. I have many musical passions on and behind the stage, from classical music through 80s electro and 90s rock.
My dear departed friend and mentor Rex Watts played guitar on this recording about two years before he passed away. He was able to hear our original recording but this production was completed a few months later.
Piggy in the Middle is a story about feeling trapped in a situation you just can’t win. A game within a game within…
You can keep me running
You make like you’re leaving but you stay
If I’m looking
But you move damn fast when my eyes look the other way
If you see me coming
You scurry right back just to show me that I can’t come in
And then you tell me that to leave is a sin
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t squeal
Head right back
You can keep me chasing corners
All the live long play
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t feel
Pig nose down
But we’ll see who’s making orders
If the poor little piggy is me
One foot home and one foot gone
Is it just the piggy spirit that you’re counting on?
Is it just a piggy heart that you’re hanging on?
Well the smell of burning rubber’s just a cover
For your love – if another
Corner seemed easier for me to hold
There’d be a pig-skin kickin’ and a told-you-so
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t squeal
Head right back
You can keep me chasing corners
All the live long play
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t feel
Pig nose down
But we’ll see who’s making orders
If the poor little piggy is me
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t squeal
Head right back
You can keep me chasing corners
All the live long play
And the piggy in the middle wouldn’t feel
Pig nose down
But we’ll see who’s making orders
If the poor little piggy is me
