Song title: The Dance
Music by: Andrew Mendelson
Lyrics by: Andrew Mendelson
Artist: The Quirks

The Quirks debuted here last year and stank the room out apparently. In despair the band split up and re-formed as a tea-room orchestra. They put themselves in the firing line this time with a cha cha cha a cha cha cha. It is a cautionary tale about pretending to be too cool for school. They hope you like it.
The Dance
She walked up and asked him for this dance
But he refused
He was a fool
To miss this offer of romance
He thought it shrewd to play it cool
He was cold because he knew no other way
But she was warm and knew just what to say
If someone holds their hand out to you
My advice is donโt continue
With what youโre doing come what may
Itโs rude and inconsiderate to act like such an idiot
When all they want to do is play
So she gave him one more chance
And he knew not to refuse
After all itโs just a dance
And he was moved she was his muse
And he was warm because she led the way
And she was warm and knew just what to say
If someone holds their hand out to you
My advice is donโt continue
With what youโre doing come what may
Itโs rude and inconsiderate to act like such an idiot
When all they want to do is play
The music played they danced their dance
And through it all
She held his hand
It was just a silly dance
Even a fool could understand
If you let her lead the way
Youโll find itโs warm inside a warm embrace
